Day 2: Hope Deferred but Not Denied
Reading: Proverbs 13:12; Jeremiah 29:11
Devotional: "Hope deferred makes the heart sick"—perhaps you're feeling that weakness today. Days have turned to weeks, weeks to months, maybe months to years since God spoke. You're hanging on by a thread. Here's the revelation: that thread is your umbilical cord to God's promise. Jeremiah 29:11 literally means being attached to God by a thread—a tapestry He's weaving one strand at a time. Don't let go of that thread! Your dreams and hopes are connected to God's plan through this divine connection. When frustration comes, and it will, refuse to receive it. Stand fast on God's word. Speak your promise daily. Thank Him that it's on the way. The thread may seem thin, but it's unbreakable because God Himself holds the other end.
