Day 4: Not My Will, But Yours
Reading: Luke 22:39-44
Devotional: Jesus demonstrated ultimate surrender in Gethsemane: "Not my will, but yours be done." He asked if there was another way, yet submitted completely to the Father's plan. Surrendering your preferences doesn't mean you can't express your concerns to God—it means you trust His wisdom over your comfort. Sometimes God calls you to clean toilets before He elevates you to leadership. The path downward often precedes the promotion upward. Stop treating the Kingdom like a corporate ladder. Work as unto the Lord, not for human approval or recognition. Your faithfulness in the unseen places qualifies you for greater responsibility. God speeds up fruit where He has secured function.
Reflection Question: What preferences or desires do you need to surrender to align with God's will?
