Dr. Young Authors Third Book -- God's Heart

Jubilee Christian Church would like to congratulate Dr. Doreen Young for publishing her third book, God's Heart.  Book summary:  After hearing the Lord’s voice during Sunday morning worship, God opened up a door for Dr. Doreen B. Young to write God’s Heart. In it, she shares encouragement to walk with the Lord and inspires readers to see who God is. The book aims to provide the wisdom to see God clearly, to realize all that Christ has done for us, and to help believers radiate through all aspects of God's heart. She offers important messages, including: • arise and shine as you discover the power of walking in God’s will; • trust in the Lord; He hears and answers your cries; • practice forgiveness and hand your life and heart to God. Each chapter ends with foundational principles for reflection to encourage readers to think about what they have learned and apply it to their own walk with the Lord. God’s covenant is a legal agreement, a summons, a decree announced publicly, and a notice to appear. Take the necessary steps to show up and benefit from God’s promise to make an appearance in your life with the wisdom in this book.

Congratulations to Kenya Howland

Few things are as sweet to a young adult as the culmination of high school!  That's why Jubilee Christian Church is honoring Kenya Howland, who graduates this year from the Brockport Central School District.  Kenya is the daughter of Matt and Regina Howland, and has been a member of Jubilee since moving to Brockport with her family in 2011.  Kenya will be taking a gap year after graduation before returning to school to pursue a career in medicine/healthcare either through the military or college.  Kenya is a bright and dependable young woman who is sure to accomplish what ever she sets her sights on.

Congratulations, Doreen Young!

Doreen Young takes pride in her work and it shows!  She was named Associate of the Month at Home Depot.  That's only one of the hats Doreen wears.  She also teaches business classes at Bryant & Stratton Business College and Walden University.  She was recently "1 out of 100 exceptional individuals" selected to be a 2022 Walden University Ambassador.  "May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us— yes, establish the work of our hands." Psalm 90:17

Outreach Updates:

"Duty To Others" - Theme Of Men's Fellowship Breakfast.  The men of Jubilee Christian Church gathered Saturday morning for a time of fellowship. Elder Terry Kennison shared a message of "Duty To Others," encouraging the men to love like Jesus.  What is duty? A heartfelt responsibility towards others in acts of care, support, and love.  Men's breakfasts are held primarily for fellowship and building of relationships.

Congratulations to Terry Kennison

On April 1, Terry Kennison was awarded the Red Service Star Award from Lowe's Home Improvement store.  This award is given to select associates who go above and beyond to deliver outstanding service to Lowe's customers.   Terry left retirement five months ago to join the Lowe's company in Brockport.  He works in both the plumbing and electrical departments and is always ready to help you solve your home improvement needs!
